Envicool BattCool Contributed To World’s Largest Sodium-Ion BESS
Recently, China's first 100 MWh-level sodium-ion energy storage project, the first phase of Datang Group’s 100 MW/200 MWh sodium-ion energy storage power station, was officially put into operation in Hubei, China. This project has realized the world's first large-scale commercial application of sodium-ion new energy storage technology, and 100% localization of key core technology and equipment.
It can be charged and discharged over 300 times a year, and store 100MWh of electricity in single charging after becoming fully operational, releasing power during pick hours to meet the daily needs of about 12,000 households. Calculated at this scale, the facility can avoid the equivalent of 13,000 tons of carbon emissions each year, with huge economic and social benefits.
